Protest Rally to be held on Saturday December 17, 2005 on behalf of Cindy Carter. Cindy Carter is an immigrant from Barbados. She came to this country hoping to work and make enough money to send back home to her mother.
While in this country, she worked three years as a Nanny for Don and Fontaine Sheridan. She was under paid and forced to work long hours and never received overtime or holiday pay. She was called nigger while being assaulted by Fontaine Sheridan.
We are protesting to bring attention to this situation and to encourage the Federal Government to intervene by brining civil rights charges against Mrs. Sheridan. We also want the Federal Government to investigate the racist Nassau County Police Department and their handling of this situation.
