Many have asked about the condition of Pastor Saiko. I’m here to give you an updated report on his conditions post Hurricane “Ike”. He is still without electricity. But he is managing to get enough food in to his house to feed his family. He gives his regards and solicits everyone’s prayers. If anyone would like to know what they could do personally for him, please contact me (Brother Tim) @ (516) 606-6569.

Proverbs teaches us that true friends are born (equipped, prepared) to help us in time of need or adversity (17:17).
During the difficult trials and severities of life that come from the sovereign hand of our loving, wise, and gracious Heavenly Father, we sometimes forget that the purpose of trials is to build character (ours personally) and to reflect the character of Christ. This is what God has been doing and is continuing to do in my life and the life of my family.
Over the past few days, we have experienced uncomfortable situtations that make me appreciate even more the daily creaturely comforts that all of us take for granted (air conditioning, lights, cable, internet, garbage disposal, dishwashers, etc.)that sometimes God has to shake us up a bit to help us realize that although He gives us all things richly to enjoy (1 Tim. 6:17), He isn’t obligated and doesn’t have to answer to His creation when or if He decides to take or to dispose of what He has given.
Before I start preaching again (and you know I can go there), I just want to say that through all of the difficulties and circumstances that my family and I have and are experiencing, I can still say, “Bless the Lord, O’ my soul. And all that is within me bless His Holy name”!
My family is still alive, we’re healthy, together, loving one another, thankful for our “daily bread”, able to encourage others who are far worse than we are, the blessings can go on for days.
So….I just want to say on behalf of Sharon, Shamyra, Nyla, and our lil’ one Madalyn (who hasn’t missed a formula or nursing meal yet)(ee-tay-bo-sha-ya-tah; that’s for you Tim, LOL). Thank you, thank you, thank you for your prayers and support.
I look forward to being with you guys again very soon Lord willing. Pray that the lights come on before Monday. If not, we will keep holding on! God bless. Love you all!
Saiko
