Steve Lumbley
“The Deceptions Used By The Church”
The “Stand Up” crew was invited along with many others to the actor Steve Baldwin’s house to hear Brother Steve Lumbley speak on “The Deceptions Used By The Church”.
We had great fellowship and delicious food catered by the “humble” celebrity Steve Baldwin. Before this house conference in Nyack, I had never heard of Steve Baldwin, Alex Baldwin or even the Baldwin Brothers for that matter (LOL). It’s good to know that there are some celebrities who love the Lord.
When Sister Ange asked me, “Doesn’t he look like one of the Baldwin brothers”, I thought she was referring to my friend William Mitchell because him and Steve Baldwin were standing next to one another. Not knowing who the Baldwin brothers were and thinking she was referring to “Will”, I said … maybe. Only after I got home and my wife began to speak about this event did I come to realize that I was taking pictures and standing in the company of a very popular celebrity and didn’t realize what all had taking place that evening.

I find it a beautiful thing when the “church” can come together in a house, without the big pomp and circumstance and just glorify GOD through righteous teaching and God honoring worship. It seemed to me that everyone was respected and there was no BIG I’s and little u’s. I wish I could have been there.

hi chermone, that’s pretty much the way it was.
even though there were people there that functioned as evangelists, deacons, and elders- everyone remained peer oriented and everyone was on a first name base. there was no false clergy/laity system in place. the Holy Spirit was the True Leader, steve lumbly was just facilitating http://www.reachangela.blogspot.com/.
all who wanted to share, were able to do so, and the body was edified. questions were allowed to be asked without having to wait until all was said and done, and there was even a point where differences of opinions were expressed and challenged without condemnation. i absolutely loved it.
