Reader Beware!!!
A very insightful young man by the name of Min. Neil Robinson coined the saying regarding the popular trend in ministry today saying “they (preachers) have turned ministry into industry.”
This is proving to be an evermore true and sad commentary for today’s church. Money, Power & Fame seem to be the “trinity” that men are seeking to serve rather than the divine trinity of the Father, Son & Holy Spirit.
Just when you thought you’ve seen it all concerning the dysfunction in the church, you see something even more bizarre and ridiculous. The latest shake down scheme concocted by fleshly men who have concurred and concluded that they will reinvent the definition of the word anniversary. They have decided that an anniversary does not mean once a year but twice a year. It is called Pre-Anniversary, as in Pastor’s Pre-anniversary or Church’s Pre-Anniversary.
By the way interestingly there is no mention of any “pay out” pre-anniversary such as members’ birthday or donations to charities…these giving events have to remain once a year, because after all they only occur once a year. But for revenue sake, another way to burden an already heavy laden people is to collect offerings not only 5 nights for an anniversary, but 5 more nights for the pre-anniversary. So I guess what’s next will be 5 more nights for the post-anniversary. Why not right, since they’re on a roll why not go all the way?
This is a disgusting and detestable exploitation of the hard earned money of the people of God. FOR GOD’S SAKE, DON’T YOU HAVE ANY SHAME?

I never understood why these men have this anniversary, pre-anniversary stuff. Where does all that money really go? I am pretty sure it isn’t going to do the work of Jesus Christ. Most likely it’s going in the pastor’s pocket. I have also wanted to know what is the scriptual justification for a church to have an ATM machine in it. O Lord have mercy upon our churches here in America. God bless
