Timothy Butler, graduated from Hempstead High School where he received his high school diploma.

He met Cathy Nixon, and they quickly recognized that their relationship was by divine intervention. They gave their lives to the Lord in December, of 1992 and got engaged shortly thereafter.

On January 31, 1995, he started a security guard company, “Ultimate Security Inc.”. His business was started with absolutely no money down. God is Good! (Rom 8:28): For we know that ALL things work together for good for them who love the Lord, and to them who are called according to his purpose. God Is…who He says He is!

He was ordained Deacon Butler on April 8, 2001. In September, of 2003, he began to undergo some persecution at the First Baptist Church of Westbury (Long Island), New York for telling the pastor Lionel Harvey that he should end an adulterous affair that he was allegedly having with a member of the church.

Deacon Butler and one other member have since been referred to as devils and were excommunicated from that Church, and, “Stand Up Ministry” was born! “Stand Up Ministry” is a bold Bible based ministry whose motto is:

We won’t bow down… and… if we perish, we perish.
