Hi I was on the conference call last night and it was a blessing. I did want to say that when Israel went to Babylon, the prophet went too (Jeremiah 40:). So when judgement comes to this country we will be swept up with the storm.
Your discussion was confirmed by my morning interssion with my group of sisters – we discussed the need to be content because of the iminent judgement we the body will soon face. We will also have to encourage our neighbor to keep them sane. May we allow the Father to prepare us.
Praise God from whom all blessings flow. I greet you all in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. God is so good and He is worthy of all the praise. I love the Lord and I love to praise and worship Him. We must continue in the faith and hold on to what we have read in the word of God. Even though things sometimes seems as if God is not there we know that He will never ever leave us because He promised to never leave us or forsake us. We must put our trust in Him and not allow our problems and circumstances seem bigger or stronger than our God. For He alone is God and there is nothing to hard for Him. For God is all seeing all knowing almighty ever showing for He is God. There is no one like Him and no one can compare to Him. We serve a mighty awesome wonderful God. If we just give Him our burdens and learn of Him He will not let us down. We are His people and sheep of His pasture. He loves and cares for us. He moved heaven and earth to bring us back to Him through His son Jesus Christ. How can we not serve a God like Him. Always thinking of us and always blessing us even when we come short. So I want to encourage you to be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Look to the hills from whence cometh your help. Trust in the Lord with all of your heart and lean not to your own understanding. Be ye steadfast unmoveable always abounding in the work of the Lord for your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
I just checked out your website, and regardless of what you are trying to do for the Lord Jesus, it is extremely disturbing to me that you have a horrifying picture of a naked, almost-starved man on the very front page of your site. I would not want my child to see this. I don’t think the Lord would approve of this…it is crude, and just bad taste. I have Jewish ancestry, and this reminds me of one of the many horrible atrocities photographed during the Holocaust. Please know that this is Extremely offensive and disturbing to some people. I have worked in Christian ministry and nobody I know would put a picture of a NAKED man on their front page in the Name of the LORD Jesus Christ. I hope you will pray and ask Him if this is truly bringing glory and honor to Him and His precious Name. This picture is of someone’s son. Would you or your staff publish this picture on your website if it were your son or daughter? And even worse, would you make a sarcastic joke out of it, asking if someone was “starving” for God’s Word? I supported 2 children in World Vision for 7 years…I have a heart for starving people. Please do not make light of someone who is starving, naked, and abused. This is disgusting to the Eyes of the LORD JESUS Himself. How cruel and heartless.
Matthew 25:35-41 “For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Then shall the RIGHTEOUS answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? OR NAKED, AND CLOTHED THEE? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the KING shall answer and say unto them, VERILY I say unto you, INASMUCH AS YOU HAVE DONE IT UNTO THE LEAST OF THESE MY BRETHREN, YE HAVE DONE IT UNTO ME.”
I just wanted you to know that I really enjoyed your ordination service and that you touched my heart greatly with your very first sermon. I’m happy that I was able to bear witness to what the Lord is doing in your life. I pray that you will continue to let God use you for his service and that you stay strong in the Lord and the power of his might! Don’t change from the person you are, humble yourself before the Lord and you will excel to higher heights. As always, Grady and I enjoyed your fellowship and we are grateful that you and Cathy have become our good friends. May the Lord Bless you and keep you.
Yesterday’s discussion (Pagan Christianity) was interesting to say the least,
one brother’s statement I thought was profound and insightful. The brother questioned today’s structure of Corporate body (One man rule) and
It’s lack of biblical validation; no where in scripture can today’s church structure of the one man (Pastor Ruler) be found, what the scripture does enforce and re-enforces through out the New Testament is the council of elders. So if we truly desire to pattern the assembly after Scripture and not after paganism then we need to place the elders in their proper position. The issues is that many “churches” will have a hard time finding qualified elders (1 Tim 3), because the requirements today are much different (and unbiblical). So if the structure of your assembly is fashioned after the Pastor Ruler structure; which cannot be substantiated by scripture and not a under the council of elders the pattern of “church” government found in the New Testament, you are settling for something other than what is layed out in Scripture? But remember the choice is yours.
Vaughn, if search substantiates that leadership must be represented by a council of Elders and not as the pastoral leader that now dominates today’s corporate body,
and 1 Tim 3 (alone with other scriptures) has the requirements that leadership must meet (please note the requirements
that leadership must meet are not optional; in other words one cannot superseded the requirements by just saying ” The Lord called me”)
Being given unto the word and prayer would be my suggestion. Because there are too many that would give you their take on what they think, instead of cleary consulting or saying it is written….etc. etc.
But remember you’ve searched the scripture (this was the process I laid out)
1. Searching the scripture
2. Coming to a conclusion (with the help of the prayer, Holy Spirit)
3 through your conclusion it has been determined that
a. There’s no scripture to substantiate the absolute dominance that today’s Pastor ruled Churches operate in
b. That the requirements for Leadership are not optional but are mandatory (you might have been called, but you cannot be appointed because you don’t meet the requirements laid down in scripture, thus your so called anointing is in question)
c. Acts 20:17 Elders = Overseers = Pastors. Are three terms that are used for the same individuals?
d. That Church Leadership must comprise of a council of elders ( no less the two), who’ve all meet the requirements
as you can see I’m not interested in
“ones Take on the Issue”
I’m interested in what the scriptures, through prayer & Holy Spirit has reviled to you, and if the revelation brings into question today’s current structure,

Christ Love
Heart beats young
heart beats old,
with a love of Christ
your heart beats bold.
Be ye rich
be ye poor,
With a love of Christ
you’ll have so much more.
The rain falls
on just and unjust.
But remember Christ
rain settles the dust.
Don’t float lifelessly
on a sea of confusion.
For a life without Christ
is a life of delusion.
Don’t be the sand
upon the shore.
Open your heart
Christ will open the door.
